Trauma Therapy

Traumatic experiences can have a significant impact on your ability to function in your day-to-day life. Whether it was a one-time traumatic event or traumatic experiences that were ongoing, we are here to help. Sometimes, no matter how much a person wants to move forward, the past continues to come up and get in the way of living the life you want. The therapists at our practice specialize in trauma therapy and utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as an approach to treat trauma.

EMDR is an evidence-based approach to therapy that is grounded in neuroscience. It is different than traditional talk therapy in that it incorporates how the body remembers the distressing experience along with negative beliefs/feelings. EMDR could be helpful for you if you’ve ever had the experience of knowing a negative belief about yourself is not true, but it still feels true.

Typical Session: 50 mins

RELATIONSHIP Therapy

We often find that sex therapy and relationship therapy overlap but we also offer services for people in relationships that are not having sexual difficulties. Our therapists use evidence-based models to address the difficulty in communication, betrayal wounds, relationship dissatisfaction, and division of household work to help people find resolutions to problems that are causing distress in the relationship.

Our therapists create a safe space for all partners to feel seen, heard, and respected within the counseling sessions. During your relationship therapy, both partners can expect to gain tools, practice skills, and learn new approaches to solving recurring problems. Our therapists utilize teaching and training from Gottman, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems to address relational concerns.

Good Faith Estimate

The No Surprises Act, which is part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, was designed to protect clients from receiving unexpected medical bills and the Good Faith Estimate provision of the No Surprises Act was designed to give clients an estimate of how much they’ll be charged for their healthcare services, prior to receiving them.

If you have scheduled an appointment with us, you should receive a GFE (Good Faith Estimate) through our client portal giving you an estimate of fees based upon the frequency of services you are requesting. This is not a real bill, just an estimate of what services would cost for an entire year of services.

If you have not received your Good Faith Estimate, or you have questions about it, please reach out to hello@wovenwellnessgroup.com to help you.
