Therapeutic Approach

Welcome! I’m Lesley, a Clinical Mental Health intern, with a passion to help guide individuals into a space of safety and healing. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree at Xavier University and will be graduating in 2025.

While I am new to the counseling profession, I am not new to the counseling space. I am in this field because my time spent in counseling, as a client, has had an unbelievable impact on my life. My gratitude for the change I have experienced has spurred me on to want to provide the same safe space for others. I strive to create a space where people can experience healing and growth in an environment that fosters warmth and openness.

I have lived experience as a woman, a mother, and a wife. Additionally, I have lived experience as a mother of a LGBTQIA+ child. The journey in all of those spaces has grown me as a person, and a clinician. I am passionate about helping parents and family members navigate the intricacies of raising a queer child in a world that seems to want to tear them down. I care deeply about providing a space for people to sit with the hardships that come with the role of being a parent.

I operate from the lens of Person-Centered Therapy as I think everyone has within them what they need to make positive change. I view my role in the counseling space as a guide to help walk with you toward the change you desire.People often say that it takes a village to raise a child and I tell my children that sometimes a person in that village is a paid professional. I’d be honored to be a part of your village.
